On Thursday we had a business expo to attend. Casey, naturally, was the poster child for Blast Off. He ran around the event with balloons and a name tag that read "Casey- Future Boss." He entertained the masses that showed up at the event. He got to jump in a big bouncy castle, which scared him half to death. I don't think a kid could have ran out of that thing any faster! In the afternoon his friend Amy showed up. Amy is nine, and loves playing with Casey. She's the daughter of my yoga teacher and keeps Casey entertained when I'm at yoga. Well the two of them ran around with balloons, by far the two cutest kids there. People would see them playing together and bring them more balloons, jelly beans, cake... everyone loved them. It came time for Amy to go home, and Casey had a meltdown. He started crying and screaming out, "Amy, I love you!" to try to get her to stay. Unfortunately, it didn't work.
We were packing up to leave the event and Casey noticed a big cardboard cutout of an Army Soldier. It was at the veterans booth. He stood there and pointed at it and said "Uncle Josh." I told him that it was like uncle Josh 'cause they were both Army, but that soldier was a girl. So he then identified the cutout as "Uncle Josh girl." The man running the veterans table gave Casey a bendable ruler that had the President's on the back. Casey saw the Presidents and points and says "Thomas Jefferson." The man that gave it to him stopped and gawked in amazement that this two year old had just pointed out T. Jeff. We went home and Casey continued to play with his new ruler and 6 balloons that he gathered at the event. It was a big day for him, but he did a good job on his first day of work.
